Framing research questions and objectives for undergraduate and graduate students of social sciences or humanities. The comments are public. After preliminary enquiries in comments, please switch to email.

Undergraduate and graduate students of social sciences or humanities may respond to this offer to get an opinion on the wording of their problem statements or research questions. Phrasing and framing problems or questions briefly and precisely is an elusive skill. On the other hand, brevity and good language skill can sometimes do little to cover limitations of design and method. Contact me if the balance seems difficult in your case. English writing only, sorry.

Use comments below to quickly check if I can help in your case at all. The comments are public. Use email to go into the specifics - any length of detail about methods, data and so forth. Perhaps explain why your original formulation of the question is less than satisfactory. Your actual research will remain confidential, even in the unlikely case that it is of professional interest to my own narrow domain! (Which is analysis of environmenta policy, for those concerned.)
